Today is my lucky day. I started work at 6am & worked for nine hours. Bill-my boss gave me $100 CDN which by right, my pay should just be $90 CDN. A hundered CDN is equivalent to about $135 sing bucks. Yea!! And the best part, I earned about $18 CDN tips today. Its alot!!! For tips i mean, cos usually they are supposed to give a few cents but some don't even bother.

Bill heard that i am leaving Canada soon. He thought that i still have another month here & he was appalled by the news. He said he is upset & want me to stay longer. He offered to pay for the amendments of my air-ticket to extend my stay here. Haha. Though i do wish to stay for a couple more weeks but i guess my parents would want me to go back as i have to settle some stuff with MOE. Gonna sign another contract i guess. The coicidental part is that the day that i would be flying off will be the day Bill travel up to Montreal with his family. He is gonna bring his cute little grandchild to Montreal to baptize him..so sweet.

I learnt quite a couple of native language here. It was pretty difficult initially when i started work. Because the canadians have their own language, like how we Singaporeans speak our 'singlish'. We can't use singlish here for nuts, they don't understand a single word. I laughed when many people like to tell me that they don't understand what Ber says when he speaks english here initially. If he has a presentation in school, i think the students would go blank. I find their language pretty interesting. For e.g. in S'pore, we say 'Take away' but here, they say 'To go' & if they wanna eat in the restaurant, they would say 'To stay'. The way they order their coffee is really cute as well. They have names like 'double double' or 'triple triple' sorta thing. If i asked 'Take away?', they would stare blankly at me. Laughs. Sometimes when i speak Chinese to Chris, they would ask 'what language is that?' and when we replied 'Mandarin', they will go 'Ni hao ma?' i was taken by suprised.
